by Metro
The underground is the quickest and most widely used form of transport.
The Prague Metro is clean and comfortable. It has three lines, A
- green, B - yellow and C - red. The route plans are easy to follow.
It operates from 5am to midnight
by Tram
Trams are Prague?s oldest method of public transport, in operation
since 1891. After the metro, trams are the fastest and most efficient
way of getting around, running every seven to twelve minutes throughout
the day. Some lines do not operate during weekends. The timetables
are posted at every stop. After the metro closes, night trams run
every 40 minutes.
by Bus
The buses are not allowed into the city centre. You might need to
use it when visiting the outer suburbs.
by Taxi
Taxis in Prague are not just a useful but often also a frustrating
form of transport. A lot of taxi drivers are out to charge as much
as they can get away with. It is safer to call the taxi by phone
(AAA - tel. 1080). In case you catch the cab on the street, ask
for the price as soon as you enter the car.
